January 22nd, 2020
With more than thirty years in the design industry as well as many successes in publishing and editing Indesign is overjoyed to welcome Jan Henderson to the team as acting editor for Indesign.
Starting her career at the award winning and internationally recognized interior design practice, Mitchelson and Henderson, Jan distinguished herself with a decade of successful residential and commercial projects before shifting to work within the fabric industry. Later moving into publishing with Niche Media Jan became the assistant editor and then editor on inside magazine and assistant editor on Architectural Review. It was here that Jan became an integral part of the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).
Jan worked with Architecture Media as an Associate Publisher, then established Henderson Media Consultants consulting with a range of clients, editing, writing and advising and also became editor for Architel.tv before returning to Niche Media as the co-editor of inside.
With such a successful and wide-ranging career we are ecstatic to welcome her to the team.
Jan commented “I very much look forward to contributing to such a well-regarded and loved magazine as Indesign. I have greatly admired Alice Blackwood as both an editor and a gorgeous person for many years and I am so very fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to work with her and the enthusiastic Indesign team and to add my voice to the magazine in the coming months.
Indesign is a highly regarded magazine within the A&D industry and with affiliated events such as the INDE AWARDS and Saturday Indesign I’m sure that I will be very busy not only working with the team but also enjoying the opportunities to extensively engage with the many architects, designers and product designers that make our community such a success.”
