More than 100 attendees from Sydney’s architecture and design community attended the Business Interiors by Staples’ Moment with MOMENT design competition, where the winners were announced at a cocktail event at Sydney’s Mojo.
November 13th, 2015
Five design teams – Greenbox Architects, Siren Design, Code Design, ccpcorp and Jana Ruus and Ian B. Aquino – were in the running for the ‘Most Creative’ award, which was judged by Nicky Lobo of Habitus and Sophia Watson from Design Quarterly.
Each team was set the challenge of creating a story around Business Interiors by Staples’ exclusive MOMENT table designed by ThinkingWorks, which involved bringing their chosen theme to life via a photo shoot. Three captured moments were showcased on the night, with guests invited to vote for the ‘People’s Choice’ prize.
‘Most Creative’
Ccpcorp, won the prize of ‘Most Creative’ for their winning theme ‘Work in Progress’, which was inspired by their creative process.
‘People’s Choice’
Siren Design took out ‘People Choice’ award, and won the vote for their birthday party-inspired ‘Sugar Swing’ images.
The People’s Choice winners took home a dinner voucher to enjoy with their colleagues, while the Most Creative team won a spa day voucher.
Designed to inspire a collaborative work environment, MOMENT is a workstation and table system with interchangeable, removable acoustic screens that allow for moments of focus. The premise of the competition was based on the versatility of the workstation, which considers different work styles and functions. The workstation was also on show during the evening as a ping-pong table.
The MOMENT stories from each design team including photo submissions will be available on the Business Interiors by Staples website in the coming weeks.
