In a significant development for Southeast Asia’s design scene, XTRA has recently inaugurated a new showroom.

The recent launch of a dedicated showroom featuring brands in the MillerKnoll collective represents an exciting and notable step forward in the region’s design evolution. The unveiling of XTRA’s showroom, which took place recently with an event in Singapore, signifies a collaborative effort to enhance access to premium design solutions.
With a history spanning over three decades, XTRA has grown from a small boutique store into a respected authority in furniture retailing, emphasising quality and innovation. The partnership between XTRA and MillerKnoll reflects a shared commitment to delivering exceptional design experiences to consumers across the region.

The showroom, now open to the public, serves as a platform to showcase a curated selection of iconic designs from renowned brands such as Herman Miller, Knoll, NaughtOne, Muuto, Maharam, Colebrook Bosson Saunders and more. Its inauguration marks a significant milestone for XTRA OFFICE, solidifying its position as a leading destination for office furniture solutions in Southeast Asia.
Lim Choon Hong, Founder and Managing Director of XTRA, expresses optimism about the showroom’s role in shaping the region’s design landscape: “[It] solidifies XTRA OFFICE as the experts, and a key hub for office furniture in the region,” says Lim, highlighting its importance for design enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The launch event at the end of April, attended by industry insiders and stakeholders, provided guests with an opportunity to explore the showroom’s offerings firsthand. Kartik Shethia, Managing Director – APMA for MillerKnoll, praised XTRA’s dedication to promoting design excellence in the region, acknowledging their instrumental role in advancing the partnership’s objectives.
“Choon Hong, William and their wonderful team have been a pillar of strength for our brand in the region and truly committed and passionate ambassadors of the brand,” says Shethia. “We are proud of this association and also confident that they will continue to represent MillerKnoll brand with same passion and positivity.”
