For the race that stops the nation, FDC & FMA held a Melbourne Cup Juvenile Diabetes fundraising Lunch
November 17th, 2009
This year’s Melbourne Cup Fundraiser sponsored by FDC Construction & Fitout & FMA Australia at Sydney’s newly refurbished Terrace Room, L’Aqua, Cockle Bay Wharf, was all for a good cause – the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which does excellent work in the research and development of solutions for children with diabetes.
While waiting for the big race to start, guests were treated to a three course meal with fine wines and entertainment, and punters were encouraged to take part in silent and live auctions to help raise money for the worthy cause. A total of over $36,000 was raised which exceeded the event target, largely due to the generosity of all guests, along with donated prizes from sponsors and supporters.
