Cieran Murphy has been awarded The Photographer – Commercial at the INDE.Awards 2025. His work on Lune Rosebery captures the immersive design and storytelling of the space, highlighting the interplay of form, material and atmosphere in this contemporary culinary destination.
November 5th, 2025
The INDE.Awards are the premier recognition of architecture and design across the Indo-Pacific. They celebrate projects, practices and professionals that elevate the built environment through innovation, craft and visual storytelling. The 2025 edition continues this tradition, acknowledging outstanding contributions that shape the way we experience architecture and interior design.
In the category The Photographer – Commercial, presented in partnership with Image Makers Association Australia, Cieran Murphy was recognised for his exceptional work on Lune Rosebery. This award honours photographers who combine technical skill, conceptual vision and an eye for architectural narrative to capture spaces in ways that inspire, inform and endure.

Cieran Murphy is a Sydney-based photographer specialising in architecture and interior design. Originally from England and now living in Australia for the past 12 years, Murphy has cultivated a distinct style that emphasises line, form and spatial rhythm. Influenced by his architect father, his work reflects a deep understanding of architectural composition, materiality and the subtle nuances that define a space.
Murphy’s award-winning work on Lune Rosebery showcases the new Sydney flagship for the celebrated bakery, Lune. Designed by emerging studio In Addition, the space balances heritage architecture with contemporary design interventions. The dramatic arched entry, ebonised vestibule walls and glass cube interior set the stage for an immersive visitor experience. Murphy’s photography emphasises the dialogue between the Brutalist concrete counter, sculptural brass bar and heritage bones of the original building, highlighting how materials and light shape perception.
Bespoke details, such as the brass timeline and curved portals inspired by celestial movements, create layers of discovery within the space. Murphy’s images capture both the narrative and the atmosphere of Lune Rosebery, translating the spatial drama and tactile richness into compositions that communicate the bakery’s story beyond its culinary offering.

Through Lune Rosebery, Cieran Murphy demonstrates how architectural photography can go beyond documentation to interpret and elevate design. His work reveals the rhythm, materiality and intent of a space, making architecture tangible and emotionally resonant for viewers.
As The Photographer – Commercial Winner at the INDE.Awards 2025, Murphy’s images set a benchmark for architectural and interior photography. They remind the industry that design excellence extends beyond construction into the way spaces are perceived, understood and celebrated through the lens of a skilled photographer.
