Illuminating Sydney’s Customs House with festive folly
December 9th, 2009
Festive fun is in the air with Christmas just a fortnight away and in spirit of noel Sydney’s iconic Customs House is lighting up for the occasion.
Launched for a three-day show last week, this week sees the last chance to catch the light show of the year displayed on the building’s façade from 9pm onwards on 9, 10 and 11 December.
The Ferrero Rocher sponsored event takes it inspiration from none other than that famous towering pyramids of gold foil-wrapped pralines.
With light technology able to read the architecture of the building, the light show is a vision of modernity on the classic structure, complete with spiralling patterns and raining Rochers.
The city’s landmark has certainly never looked quite so spectacular than from the forecourt of the national treasure, with this impressive movement of lights in kryptonite green and gold.
