Bolon for TAG are bringing the brand-new Create Collection to Brisbane for BID.
May 21st, 2012
Bolon’s latest product, the Create Collection, launched earlier this year at the 2012 Milan Furniture Fair and has just hit Australian shores.
A collaboration with French architect Jean Nouvel, Create uses state-of-the-art weaving technology to give a 3-dimensional appearance. Colours shift and are brought to life depending on where the viewer stands, how the light falls and how the flooring is laid.
Create consists of 10 designs, half patterned and half plain, each creating a dramatic effect in its own way.
“You decide the texture and the nature of the reaction with light – it can be very matte, shiny, or [have an] effect of contrast with walls,” Nouvel recently told Indesignlive when speaking about the versatile new collection in Milan.
The Create Collection is the showcase product at Bolon for TAG during Brisbane Indesign, on display at their shared space with Living Edge at the Living Edge showroom on Wickham Street.
Visit the Living Edge showroom at Brisbane Indesign and experience an immersive installation as part of The Project, in collaboration with Woods Bagot and QUT 3rd year interior design students. Find out the winner of the Chandon, Bolon and Living Edge Mini Cork Chair competition at 3:30 pm and enjoy assorted refreshments throughout the day.
