Innermost marks the Asteroid lamp’s 10th anniversary with a special ‘petrol colour’ edition.
February 15th, 2015
Ozgen Design Studio’s Asteroid first began life as a white porcelain vase, which could be rested on any surface. Later the studio collaborated with Innermost to launch a lamp version at the 2005 edition of 100% Design in London.
Based on a unique geometrical form, no two of Asteroid’s 24 individual surfaces are identical, and no two of its edge lengths either. In clusters, this generates the illusion of many different shapes, when there is only one.
Following a decade of success, Innermost is now debuting an iridescent version of the Asteroid pendant lamp, called Asteroid Petrol.
Asteroid is available in clear or petrol coloured glass or in white plastic, with the plastic version made suitable for outdoor use.
