A group of promising young Australian designers were given the chance to shine in Milan this year, thanks to the generous support of the Australian design industry.

The Melbourne Movement initiative is a talented mix of young Australian designers, intent on building an international reputation for cutting edge, Australian design.
Every year for the last eight years, the founder of the Movement – accomplished designer and Professor of Design at RMIT, Kjell Grant – has hand-picked design students to exhibit at the I Salone Internazionale del Mobile furniture fair in Milan.
This year, a group of 21 talented Aussie designers represented Australia under the Melbourne Movement banner in Milan, thanks to the generous support of the Australian design industry.
With over $3500 funds raised by the Indesign Group and friends, the whole Melbourne Movement group were able to attend, strengthening the Aussie presence at the fair, and doing our design community proud.
