Victoriana apartments in Albert Park by JD Group and Rothelowman draw inspiration from nature to create luxury.
The perfect place to live is often something that is quite subjective, but you would be hard-pressed to find a better location than Albert Park when it comes to the best that Melbourne has to offer. Just minutes from the heart of the city, surrounded by luscious parklands and gardens, Victoria’s top schools, a world-class arts precinct, and of course many exciting retail and gourmet destinations, Victoriana is a collection of prestigious townhomes and garden residences that bring a new vibrancy to inner-city life and sets a clear benchmark for luxury apartment living.
With so many iconic buildings already in the area, the vision for premium and bespoke quality apartments with views that overlook Albert Park Golf Course and Port Phillip Bay demanded the crème de la crème, and so developers JD Group appointed Rothelowman to undertake the architectural design of the bespoke development that is due for completion in 2020.
Situated in a breathtaking locale, the design of Victoriana has been inspired by nature herself. While the building’s form is robust yet sculptural, the cascading terraces create a vertical garden that appears to flow into the park and lake below. The horizontal glass bands of the façade echo the curves of Albert Park Lake, resulting in a softly contoured building that delivers a sense of oasis with a highly distinctive aesthetic.

Within this beautiful building, the various residences are the epitome of elegance. The design and palette of the interiors are organic in nature with incredible attention to detail. Victoriana is about embracing luxury and incorporating this sophisticated elegance into not only the home, but also every aspect of your lifestyle. The first ten levels of Victoriana are referred to as ‘Prestige’, where most residences enjoy views of Albert Park and Fawkner Park with high-quality finishes throughout. Residences above level ten are referred to as ‘Signature’ with everything in luxury finishes, and most apartments featuring their own spa or swimming pool. The tactile materiality in the interiors celebrates the finest natural materials such as stone, marble, granite and timber, capturing an atmosphere of warmth, relaxation and sophistication with a luxurious bespoke quality.

From fittings and fixtures, right through to appliances, only the most esteemed brands were selected for inclusion in the apartments, with Gaggenau taking pride of place in the kitchens. In a home where luxury is key, there really was no question when it came to which brand Victoriana would partner with for kitchen appliances. When asked about the choice of Gaggenau appliances in the kitchens, Shawn Lu the Project Design Development & Marketing Manager of JD Group, explained that the brand was specified “to match the high-quality finish and luxury design concept. Gaggenau home appliances definitely fit in here.”
Gaggenau products are designed around an ethos of authenticity and uncompromising quality, existing to offer only the best cooking experience. So in a home within Victoriana, surrounded by only the best, the experience of quality and luxury extends past the mere aesthetics and delivers endless opportunities for culinary exploration.
Throughout Victoriana, Gaggenau 200 Series appliances are in each of the kitchens, with the dark Gaggenau Anthracite finish perfectly complementing the rest of the interior colour palette. The functionality and versatility of the 200 Series provide everything a home chef might want or need, and the sleek design of the range will please even the most discerning design connoisseur.
Victoriana is set to become home to a distinguished clientele who appreciate the finer things in life and are looking to experience all that Melbourne has to offer, right on their doorstep. The perfect balance of city life with beautiful gardens, parks and lakes, the residents of Victoriana will be able to choose on a daily basis whether they embrace the fast-paced metropolis, or retreat to their own personal oasis within Victoriana and enjoy the breathtaking views on offer from the comfort of their own home.
