Living Edge is proud to announce the official launch of Herman Miller’s new innovation in workstations: ‘Sense’.
November 21st, 2008
‘Sense’ made its debut in Australia at Saturday in Design in the Living Edge, Richmond showroom.
This new system of build-your-own furniture was developed in collaboration with Swiss firm, Korb+Korb, and has recently received a coveted red dot award for product design.
‘Sense’ needs no tools or technical skills. You simply lock together all components around a central ’”monobeam” to create the piece of furniture you require. So if you want a desk, you pick up the parts you need, and when you decide that you prefer a set of drawers
instead, you re-use the parts, buying any extra you need, storing the rest for later use.
It’s a considered range that enables you to specify ‘Sense’ from a series of single tables to more space-efficient team clusters. Then as you grow, so does the furniture. Add new tables or just change layouts. Simply take down and rebuild. It’s sustainable furniture –
cutting back on what you send to the tip and indeed, what you need to buy.
As with all Herman Miller products, ‘Sense’ has been designed and built with cradle-to-cradle principles, ensuring it meets the highest environmentally sustainable standards. Simplicity of design, shared components and recyclable materials all ensure a guaranteed longevity and an impassioned respect for our environment.
‘Sense’ anticipates change. It’s intelligent design made simple.
Orders for Sense can be taken from September 1st.
