Broadsheet and Tait team up for the Mercedes-Benz Design Award, to let you see one of your own designs come to life!
This year, the Mercedes-Benz Design Award heads outside. Tait, Broadsheet and the judging panel are after a design that will enhance the experience of dining outdoors. The winning designer or team will work with renowned outdoor-furniture designer Tait to help bring their design to life! Tait will be providing a priceless mentorship program that will span the prototyping and production phases of designing the product. The winning design will finally be proudly added to the Tait range, available for purchase across the country.
The Mercedes-Benz Design Award by Broadsheet launched in 2015 with a call for entries that enhanced the indoor dining and kitchen experience, and was launched to celebrate the creativity and innovation of Australia’s emerging designers.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz Design Award is now open for entries! We know Indesignlive readers are real design lovers at heart, so if you or someone you know has an idea that could make the outdoor dining experience better or easier, this could be the chance to make your designer dreams a reality.
Tait are part of the judging team that will ultimately select a winning design, “We’re incredibly honoured to be asked to support this year’s awards,” says Gordon Tait, “Mercedes-Benz is such an iconic, global brand and design leader within its industry, while Broadsheet always has its finger on the pulse. The pairing is really exciting and we can’t wait to be a part of it.”
