Cavalier Bremworth’s Galet felted wool carpet is the new flooring solution for high-end residential projects.
June 28th, 2011
A chunky loop pile made from 100% felted New Zealand wool, Galet is exclusive to Cavalier Bremworth.
The random loop pile design, combined with unique yarn structure, creates real textural interest on the floor and unbelievable softness underfoot.
The ‘aquaspun’ felted yarn means the wool fibres are locked into a smooth and strong structure, providing superb durability and comfort.
Colours range from a stunning white through to classic neturals and charcoal grey.
Galet, as with all Cavalier Bremworth carpets, carries Environmental Choice accreditation, contributing the maximum points to both indoor air quality and material calculators on the Green Star rating tools.
It is also graded ACCS Residential Heavy Duty 6* including stairs.
The superior option for carpets, Galet uses 100% sustainable wool and is biodegradable, making an excellent weed mat at the end of its life.
As with other wool carpets, Galet acts as a humidity regulator, absorbing as much of a third of its own weight in moisture when the atmosphere is wet and releasing it back into the atmosphere when it’s dry.
In contrast, synthetic carpets can only absorb 1-2% moisture before they start to feel damp.
