Neolith provides architects, designers and consumers a high end sintered surface that holds innovative physical and technical features. It is a 100 percent natural material made from clay and natural pigments whose appearance imitates marble and other materials, yet contains all the advantages of sintered compact surfaces. Because the material is highly resistant to scratching and high and low temperatures, chemicals, UV and wear, it makes it suitable for kitchen and bathroom use.

Neolith is a ideal for applications such as kitchen coverings and bathrooms due to its hygienic nature. Neolith does not scratch or stain, is heat and fire resistant, and thanks to the extremely low absorption rate of technical porcelain, it is ideal for food contact and processing. “The surface is also resistant to warping, which means it’s a good choice for a work surface like a kitchen bench,” says Nathan. “Neolith is completely unreactive, making it suitable for contact with any domestic or industrial cleaning agent such as bleach or ammonia.” It also doesn’t burn, release smoke or toxic substances when subjected to high temperatures.

CDK Stone sales manager and Neolith’s Australian supplier, Nathan Karpenko, says that seeing Neolith in the flesh is a crucial aspect of understanding the design possibilities and qualities of the material. “With both natural stone and Neolith it is crucial for the customers to view the slabs in full before making a selection,” explains Nathan. “We are often asked to send out samples of our material, however these can only be used as an indication of the overall material as the samples will not show the full colour variation and movement of each colour.”
