July 16th, 2025
This marks a significant milestone for Kvadrat with its official launch in Australia and New Zealand. With a new showroom opening in Sydney and an existing location in Melbourne, supported by dedicated sales teams in Brisbane and Perth Kvadrat establishes a dedicated local presence, directly supporting the region’s architects, designers and clients. Internationally recognised for its progressive design textiles and unparalleled colour expertise, Kvadrat now brings its complete product and service offering to Australasia.
Anders Byriel, CEO of Kvadrat: “Launching independently in Australia and New Zealand is an exciting next step for Kvadrat. We look forward to deepening our ties with the creative communities here.”

Vanessa Chavez, Country Director for Kvadrat Australia, adds: ”Kvadrat has long shaped interiors across Australia. Now, as an independent entity, Kvadrat brings its full range directly to local clients and collaborators. Our showrooms will serve as friendly hubs for discovering innovative products and exploring sustainability initiatives.”
Founded in Denmark in 1968, Kvadrat draws from Scandinavia’s distinguished design tradition, consistently setting new standards in textile aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. Its textiles are internationally acclaimed for their precise colour, innovative materials and exceptional durability across commercial and residential interiors.

Kvadrat collaborates actively with leading international and local designers, architects and artists. These collaborations include renowned global figures such as Raf Simons, Patricia Urquiola, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, alongside Australian designers Benja Harney, Adam Goodrum and Studio Truly Truly (Joel and Kate Booy).
Kvadrat prioritises sustainable design. The majority of its products are created from natural, renewable or recycled materials such as textile waste, post-consumer plastics and recycled aluminium. The company continually improves production techniques to extend product lifecycles and remains dedicated to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
Kvadrat’s diverse product range spans several brands, including Kvadrat, Kvadrat Acoustics, Kvadrat Febrik, Kvadrat Really, Kvadrat/Raf Simons, Sahco and Magniberg, each offering thoughtful and responsible textile solutions.
