ONG&ONG has designed an evolving retail space that changes as the fashion world moves.
February 17th, 2012
Online luxury goods and fashion retailer Reebonz has opened its first physical boutique at Clifford Centre in Singapore to service its members.
The interior, designed by ONG&ONG, is inspired by the dynamic and transient nature of fashion.
Mobile displays invite spatial experimentation, ensuring an ever-changing shopping experience. A minimalist colour palette also neutralises the setting, allowing the Pradas, Chanels and Guccis to do the talking, while raw materials such as concrete and rope make a lovely play of contrasts against glossy finishes.
An illuminated staircase forms the focal point of the design, while a stage area, called “SPACE”, gives added dimension to the shopping experience where members get to participate in a variety of lifestyle talks from grooming to styling to healthy eating and even yoga.
The Reebonz store also houses a cafe where VIP members can sip coffee as they indulge in retail therapy, and the cafe tables themselves can be combined to form a runway when needed.
Word has it that Reebonz has plans to open more of such stores in the region.
