Guests were invited to a special evening with Knud Erik Hansen, CEO and third generation owner of Carl Hansen & Søn.
September 17th, 2014
The event was hosted by Space Furniture, with Knud Erik Hansen walking guests through the historical events and design icons that have shaped the brand into what it is today.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of legendary designer Hans J. Wegner whose celebrated designs are manufactured by Carl Hansen & Søn. To commemorate the occasion, guests were treated to the launch of the CH88 chair – a reissue of a 1955 Wegner design – and other limited edition anniversary designs such as the oak-and-walnut CH24 Wishbone chair.
Guests also enjoyed a unique demonstration of the making of the Wishbone chair. And those game enough even got to try their hand at the weaving process.
