We revealed the first seven exceptional exhibitors at Tan Boon Liat last week. It is our pleasure to announce another magnificent seven.
They are the brands you know and love and through their creativity and passion for design will be opening their doors to host you for something unexpected in October.
Having worked on over 750 projects in Southeast Asia, interior decorating firm and retail Arete Culture is well-versed in all manners of styling. At Saturday Indesign, Arete Culture’s showroom will host a styling workshop for 20 lucky participants and a sharing session on bespoke furniture – RSVP opens soon!
Emperor‘s Attic provides a selection of unique, hand-selected and restored antique pieces that add a beautiful patina of time to any room. For Saturday Indesign, this store on the first floor of the Tan Boon Liat Building will hold Artist’s Talk sessions with print artists Louise Hill and Deborah McKellar and an interactive styling session.
Located on the seventh floor of the Tan Boon Liat Building, Gamut offers a vast selection of lighting objects from international brands. For Saturday Indesign, Gamut will highlight Spanish lighting Brand Vibia, whose product Algorithm by Toan Nguyen made waves at Euroluce. And yes, there will be a prize to be won.
Hassan’s Carpets is a family-owned business spanning four generations, started in the late 1800s when the family patriarch left Kashmir for Singapore, leading to the establishment of its first showroom at The Heeren in 1930s. Today, Hassan’s Carpets is located on the second floor of Tan Boon Liat and remains a family business that welcomes its customers like family members.
During Saturday Indesign, Hassan’s Carpets will welcome visitors into a vibrant world of colours articulated by the company’s vast collection of modern and traditional carpets – an installation that will both boost your Insta credential and impart useful tips to care for your rugs.
How interactive can carpets be as two-dimensional items? You’d be surprised. Don’t forget to stop by Jehan Gallery, one of Singapore’s oldest carpet retailers, during Saturday Indesign and have fun with the installation there! It will involve print Polaroid, ceiling-mounted camera and a whole lot of fun! The showroom will also host a talk in rugs – RSVP opens soon!
LivingwithArt Singapore offers customised art products, paintings, wall decals, wallpapers, art clocks for interior decoration. Got something in mind? Get in touch with LivingwithArt and they will match you up with a suitable artist(s)! For Saturday Indesign, LivingwithArt will host an art-making demo with artist Samantha Redfern. There will also be a guessing game where visitors can win vouchers by matching pixellated art with the artworks in the gallery.
Boutique furniture store Pomelo Home’s philosophy in curating its brand is simple: Good Design, Made Well. The store carries a curated furniture collection from reputable brands from the UK, Spain, Italy, Denmark, France and the USA for both residential and contract use.
For Saturday Indesign, Pomelo Home will shine a spotlight on Italian brand Mattiazzi and its latest collection, fresh from Milan Design Week. Visitors can also look forward to short film screening, video mapping and an interactive installation that will invite them to guess what famous architect’s desk look like.
