Bringing his uniquely Pommy sense of style to Australia
December 20th, 2007
Ted Baker’s flagship Australian store has opened in Melbourne in the greenest commercial development in the city, Council House.
The store stocks the latest season’s elegant menswear and womenswear, as well as showcasing the limited edition Ted Baker Global collection for men, which blends traditional English tailoring and directional design.
Baker’s bespoke approach to fashion continues through the design for the space, which combines images of the English countryside and shag pile carpeting with reclaimed Tasmanian oak flooring and handmade wallpaper in the fitting rooms.
Baker has developed quite a following in Australia since the launch of his range in 2003, dressing the Socceroos for the 2006 World Cup and this year’s Asia Cup.
