From the vast grasslands of the countryside to abundant canopy forests and the sapphire tones of the coastline, Australian brand, nau endlessly embraces our local and natural landscape. Inspired by the earthy hues of the bushlands and the tactility of local materials, the Australian design brand was born with the intention of celebrating and promoting the beauty of Australian creativity to the rest of the world.
As the in-house creative arm for Cult Design, nau’s offering of contemporary furniture, lighting and design accessories has evolved into one of the country’s most sought-after collections for Australian-made design. Since its inception in 2014, the contemporary design label brings a unique lens on local design and manufacturing, genuine craftsmanship and locally sourced materials, honouring the Australian landscape time and time again.

This year, brought to life by four of the country’s most esteemed designers, nau presents their 2021 collection: an inspiring and expressive range inspired by the modern Australian context. In this edition of The Indesign, we look at the inimitable range, showcasing designs from the likes of Adam Goodrum, Kate Stokes, Adam Cornish and Tom Fereday.
Nau’s 2021 collection responds to the needs and desires that have emerged in the past two, unforgettable years with exemplary, new designs that offer authenticity, versatility, functionality, and artistry unique to the nau name – bringing a fresh perspective for Australian-made furniture.
