Artemide has been at the forefront of international lighting design since it was established in 1959 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza.

Artemide products embody the fusion of quality and functionality synonymous with modern Italian design. Its pre-eminence derives from its sensitivity to what people want from light, namely beauty and performance. Artemide specialises in 3 lighting ranges ñ decorative, indoor architectural and outdoor luminaires ñ and boasts such design classics as the Tizio lamps by Richard Sapper and the Tolomeo lamps by Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina. Artemide products are exclusively distributed in Australia through the Artemide head office and showroom in Adelaide, its new Melbourne showroom and via a national network of distributors.
