Australian designers put a new spin on Woven Image’s EchoPanel.
April 4th, 2011
Two Australian designers have let their imagination flow to demonstrate how EchoPanel from Woven Image can be used in different and innovative ways.
Crease, designed by Surya Graf, is folded into form from just one sheet of EchoPanel.
The development of the chair was motivated by Graf’s desire to create a completely flat-packed chair for freight and storage.
Shima, by recent RMIT graduate Ivan Adhiteja, is a modular coffee table that can be transformed into stools, also manufactured entirely from Woven Image EchoPanel.
Designed to fit small living spaces, the table is constructed from layers of flat-packed stools, so that each layer can be disassembled and folded into a seat.
Adhiteja was inspired by the way juice boxes are manufactured when devising the folding method for Shima.
The possibilities for creating functional, sustainable products are endless with EchoPanel from Woven Image, as the designs for Crease and Shima demonstrate.
