The Rituals light family continues to grow with the addition of a new, extra large version of its classic lamp.
March 23rd, 2015
The new lamp furthers the brand’s aesthetic of different and complementary forms, volumes and proportions with its irregular sphere and impressive size.
Situated at a serene midpoint between East and West design choices, the poetry and lightness of the Rituals family creates a sense of both rarefaction and materiality. Drawn from from traditional Japanese lanterns and the iconic 1950s creations by Isamu Noguchi, the inspired lamps bring a sense of suffused and exquisite light, suitable for a variety of different settings.
The refined effect of Rituals lamps is emphasised by their delicately rounded shape and specially grinded glass, recalling ancient craftworking skill and modern expertise. The magic allure of rice paper and mulberry tree bark, the raw materials of Rituals lanterns, is reinterpreted by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba and is visible in the full body of blown, satin-effect glass. The lamps, the new XL size included, retain their aesthetic and decorative value even when switched off.
On its own or with the other lamps in the family, the assertive presence of the Rituals XL lamp can be used to fill large spaces or to define various living areas both in the home environment and in modern business spaces.
