January 13th, 2011
Global furniture manufacturer Herman Miller ended 2010 with a bang, awarded the Design of the Decade 2000-2009 by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).
Setu received the Design of the Decade Gold Award as ‘Best Sustainable Design Solution’.
The Design of the Decade 2000-2009 is a celebration of industrial design and recognises designers’ achievements in innovation, excellence and business success.
Setu is exemplary of Herman Miller’s commitment to corporate sustainability. Herman Miller products consistently achieve a positive impact on business and broader society, while ensuring that environmental impact is minimal.
Setu is comfortable and stylish as well as eco-friendly. Designed in partnership with Berlin’s Studio 7.5, the model’s core feature is a kinematic spine that bends and adapts to your spine when seated, allowing for full comfort and back support.
Consistently recognised as a leader in design, Herman Miller has enjoyed Design of the Decade status for the past three decades. The accolade was given to Herman Miller’s Equa in the 1980s and Aeron in the 1990s.
