Staron Solid Surfaces announce the winners of the 2011 Edition 2 of their annual Staron Design Awards.

Each year, the Staron Design Awards attract a host of creative entries that showcase the beauty and versatility of Staron Solid Surfaces.
The winners of Edition 2 of the competition for 2011 were announced recently, with judges Mandi Keighran (Indesign), Amanda Stanaway (Woods Bagot) and Stephen Varady (Kann Finch Group) impressed by the standard and diversity of the entries.
Maria Gavriel and Al Brennan of NOSUCHSTUDIOcollective took out the Commercial category for their design work on Café Gallery in Westfield, Chermside. They created thermoformed sculpted signage entirely from Staron Solid Surfaces.
In the Residential category, Thomas Coward of Omvivo received top honours for the Motif basin, which features thermoformed Staron surround with a beautiful hand-etched glass base.
Tommy Ashby and Nicholas Gardner won the Concept category for their Crystal Wedge table, a table created with 19mm Staron in Bright White with recycled timber legs.
