Born in 1925, Putman’s career came to interiors and spatial design by way of her involvement in the fashion industry. Having designed boutique interiors for the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Putman establised Ecart in 1978 going on to redesign the interiors of the Concorde jet.
