As a founding partner of Fender Katsalidis, a multi-disciplinary international design practice, Katsalidis has been recognised for the outstanding work that has been delivered over the years since the studio’s establishment in Melbourne. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and a sister-studio in London, Fender Katsalidis has created such projects as Mona in Hobart and Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which will become the second tallest tower in the world today.
Katsalidis was born in Greece and moved to Australia with his family when young. He studied at The University of Melbourne and then co-founded Fender Katsalidis (formerly Nation Fender Katsalidis) with Karl Fender in 1996.

From projects such as Melbourne Terrace in the CBD to skyscrapers Eureka Tower and Australia 108 (Melbourne’s two tallest buildings), the work of the practice has contributed iconic landmarks to the Melbourne city skyline, other Australian cities as well as overseas.
It is a fitting tribute that Nonda Katsalidis has been recognised with such an award and showcases the importance of fine architecture within our communities. We extend our congratulations on this honour that recognises Katsalidis’ achievements and contribution.
