SCCI Architecture Hub launches this Friday!

The Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas Architecture Hub launches this Friday – and there are still a handful of tickets available.

This Friday, the SCCI Architecture Hub kicks off! With a series of forum discussion events and seminars exploring the ways in which architecture has changed, and how it has changed our world, the event is a highlight on 2018’s architectural calendar.

Held across the SCCI itself, as well as the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Art Gallery of NSW, Barangaroo and the Golden Age Cinema venues, Sydney design and architecture buffs have a lot to look forward to from 12 to 21 October.

This event sees a range of keynote speakers discussing what makes our industry tick. Architects such as Kengo Kuma, Pritzker Prize winner Ryue Nishizawa, Gurjit Matharoo and Michael Rakowitz are among the impressive list.

Recently added is the Kids’ Design Workshop x Happy Talk, led by Happy Talk’s Liane Rossler and Heidi Dokulil with Jenny Louey. This workshop harnesses the power of kids’ ideas by challenging budding young designers (aged 8 to 12 years) to re-imagine the city of Sydney, and share their creative vision for “happy spaces”.
