Studio Verissimo creates basket case from recycled current affairs

Using 60 sheets of recycled newspaper, Studio Verissimo have recreated everyday current affairs into a `News’ basket.

The embodiment of sustainable design, the ‘News’ basket is designed and produced by the promising young duo from Portugal, Cláudio Cardoso and Telma Veríssimo, who make up Studio Verissimo.

Made using a traditional basket-weaving technique, the resistant container communicates the possibilities of domestic recycling.

Studio Verissimo are currently initiating a limited series `News’ production with a Berlin gallery and recently participated in the ‘Handled With Care’ exhibition in London to great acclaim.
