In development for over 3 years, ‘Pike’ was finally released to a gathering of key players from the design industry on the 23 June 2010, at the RJ Workspace showroom in Sydney’s King Street Wharf.

‘Pike’ draws its beauty from an innovative fusion of technology and nature, inspired by a friendship between the designer and his dog – Pike.

“To my knowledge, no-one before has designed a piece of utility by extracting the essence of natural beauty and beastly strength from a canine,” says Lasota.

The elegantly simple form of ‘Pike’ achieves a sense of weightlessness that seems to re-define gravity, offering a desking system capable of expanding or contracting without major disruption to the work environment.

Above bench storage offers a multitude of solutions, cable management with skeletal trunking is intelligent and easily accessible, while cleverly designed privacy screens allow the creation of truly individual spaces.

Designed and manufactured employing best environmental practices, ‘Pike’ is also proudly Australian.

Judging by the success of the recent launch, ‘Pike’ is set to make a mark on the design industry

“Pike certainly fulfils my dream,” says Lasota. “It was designed to be contagious.”
