The bestselling collection from Villeroy & Boch gets a fresh update with new colours and delicate lines.

In a confined space like the bathroom, shapes matter – be it sanitaryware like the sink, bathtub and toilet, or fittings like the faucet and shower. When these elements come together, the bathroom is transformed. A favourite collection among designers and clients for years, the latest range of Loop & Friends from Villeroy & Boch is set to elevate the bathroom even further with more delicate washbasins and more stylish bathtubs.
Loop & Friends washbasins are known for their lightness, all thanks to the TitanCeram material. Titanium oxide makes the ceramic extremely firm and stable, paving the way to fine and delicate designs with narrow rims and thin walls.
The washbasins are now available in three bold matte colours, deep black Ebony, soft grey Graphite and fine beige Almond. The classic white is also available. Whether oval, round or rectangular, the washbasins can be installed as a surface-mounted for a bold statement, a classic built-in for an elegant look or sleek undercounter for an understated appearance. This freedom in design is further extended with 14 models in various sizes, ensuring a suitable solution for any layout.
Baths are the perfect indulgence in hotel and spa experiences. Designers and architects searching for baths that maximise comfort and optimise space often turn to Loop & Friends. Like the washbasins, the baths too present delicate lines that are ideal where space is a premium. With merely 20mm-thick edges, the built-in baths are spacious inside. The design features a wide rim on the wall, functioning as a shelf for accessories and allowing for the option of fitting a standpipe. The bathtubs are available in two sizes: 180cm by 80cm and 170cm by 75cm, with a water-saving inner depth of 44cm.
Ultimately, the bath is a space for relaxation and revitalisation. An optional water inlet that fills the bathtub like a waterfall is an experience in itself. The experience can be enhanced by fitting the built-in baths with a hot tub system for a spa experience at home.
Villeroy & Boch’s Legato bathroom furniture collection is the perfect match to the Loop & Friends bathroom collection. That said, it allows flexibility for those who dream up spaces and make them a reality.
The Loop & Friends surface-mounted washbasins and built-in baths are available from June 2021; meanwhile the undercounter and built-in washbasins are available from autumn/winter 2021.

To honour Chef James Won’s appointment as Gaggenau’s first Malaysian Culinary Partner, we asked the gastronomic luminaire about parallels between Gaggenau’s ethos and his own practice, his multidimensional vision of Modern Malaysian – and how his early experiences of KFC’s accessible, bold flavours influenced his concept of fine dining.
In design, the concept of absence is particularly powerful – it’s the abundant potential of deliberate non-presence that amplifies the impact of what is. And it is this realm of sophisticated subtraction that Gaggenau’s Dishwasher 400 Series so generously – and quietly – occupies.
Within the intimate confines of compact living, where space is at a premium, efficiency is critical and dining out often trumps home cooking, Gaggenau’s 400 Series Culinary Drawer proves that limited space can, in fact, unlock unlimited culinary possibilities.

If bathware showrooms are typically tempered, Sorbet by MuseLAB is an icy, invigorating antidote — a design that lingers long after one has stepped back into the streets of Mumbai.
