We step ‘Through The Walls’ with Hermès at the brand’s playful exhibition of its 2017-18 home collection, on show till 29 October.
October 18th, 2017
First presented in Milan this year in a gorgeous Luis Barragan-inspired pavilion, the Hermès 2017-2018 home collection fuses the sould of the beloved heritage brand with a new progressive rigour. The exquisitely crafted items in the collection are now on display at the Hermès boutique at Liat Towers, presented in an exhibition titled Through The Walls.
Until 29 October, boutique visitors will discover select levels of the store transformed with striking scenography by Jean-Christophe Valliant and Hervé Sauvage. Inspired by the work of American artist Gordon Matta-Clark, Through The Walls deconstructs and reinvents spaces with humour and surprise, bringing each Hermès object to life.
Hermès home collections are now under the artistic direction of Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry (read about them in Cubes issue 86). Macaux Perelman (Deputy Artistic Director of Hermes Maison) was in Singapore for the opening of Through The Walls, along with Helene Dubrule (Managing Director of Hermès Maison), Eric Festy (Managing Director of Hermès Middle East South Asia), and of course Alvin de Souza (Managing Director of Hermès Singapore Retail) and other VIPs from the brand.
