hansgrohe’s holistic bathroom solutions come full circle with the MellowTide Washbasin that is slim in design, low in maintenance and practical for use.
August 14th, 2023
hansgrohe is most popularly known for its exceptional bathroom fittings such as the user-friendly Select range of showers offering various spray settings and the Metris line of faucets characterised by its sleek and modern design. But did you know that the German sanitary brand also manufactures ceramic sanitary ware to create holistic solutions from a single source, providing incomparable water experiences?
With a legacy of over 120 years, hansgrohe once again pushes the boundaries of design innovation with a groundbreaking addition to its portfolio. Inspired by clear flowing water, the MellowTide Washbasin is created in collaboration with Phoenix Design last year. The internationally renowned design studio, which has been shaping the hansgrohe brand for over 30 years now, brought a sense of eternal texture and thoughtful quality to an otherwise basic commodity used for daily ablutions.

Evocative of the Bauhaus style, the MellowTide Washbasin boasts a slim and graceful design that ensures water flows effortlessly, preventing accumulation. A fully glazed back ensures a seamless cleaning experience, leaving no nooks and crannies untouched.
Indeed, this SmartClean glaze sheathes the entire surface of the washbasin, creating a glossy protective layer that resists dirt for lasting translucency. The inclusion of HygieneEffect technology goes a step further by infusing the ceramic washbasin with highly effective antibacterial properties, ensuring a family’s health is safeguarded with up to 99.99% antibacterial rate.

Further showcasing meticulous considerations in the details, the MellowTide Washbasin offers an optional integrated storage platform that separates the wet and dry areas seamlessly. This feature could also be a spot for a bar soap, especially in small bathrooms where space is a concern.

Whether you prefer an embedded basin bottom or an under-counter basin with a linear overflow hole, the MellowTide Washbasin flexibly adapts to different countertops. It can also be paired with a variety of faucets like the Pulsify, Vivenis, and Finoris pull-out basin faucet, ensuring a holistic and revitalising water experience.
Available in stores nationwide from September 2023, the MellowTide Washbasin embodies the essence of hansgrohe’s unwavering commitment to innovation and timeless design.
