Spina by Yasuhiro Nakamura lets you sit as you wish, without thinking, and move freely, without hesitation.

Spina, a Good Design Award ’Gold’ winner from ITOKI, Japan is a 96% recyclable task chair with impressive ergonomic features.
Designed by Yasuhiro Nakamura, the chair’s Passive Seat Slide mechanism allows the seat to sink backwards, automatically triggering the Active Lumbar Support, which moves forward, bringing comfort to the lower back and hips.
The result of these seamless mechanisms is a chair that stays in tune with the individual, regardless of weight and height, without the need for manual adjustment.
The transparent vertical ribbed backrest also combines the properties of flexible plastic and rubber materials that not only helps correct posture, but also dissipates the heat between the user’s back and the backrest and facilitates airflow for ideal thermal comfort.
