The excitement surrounding the announcement of last year’s winners has barely subsided, but already red dot award: design concept is hitting the ground running in 2012 with its early bird call for entries.
The award is open to all, including studios, companies, universities, research laboratories, inventors, design students and design professionals from anywhere in the world.
In addition, submissions can be made in English, Mandarin, Korean and German until the end of standard submission period on 27 April 2012.
Last year, the award garnered a total of 3,536 submissions from 54 countries. Out of these, 252 were selected for the red dot award, while 43 bagged the red dot: best of the best. The top red dot: luminary prize went to Microbial Home by Philips Design, the Netherlands.
