Located in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District, the new large-scale project by developer GuocoLand will edge out One Raffles Place, Republic Plaza and United Overseas Bank Plaza One, which are all 280 metres tall.

Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM), the same architects behind some of the world’s most iconic buildings, including Dubai’s Burj Khalifa and New York’s One World Trade Center, have been appointed to the project.

Tanjong Pagar Centre will have a 38-storey Grade A office block, residential apartments that begin at 180 metres and reach up to 290 metres, six levels of retail and F&B spaces, a luxury business hotel and a sheltered event space in Tanjong Pagar City Park. All will have direct access to the underground Tanjong Pagar train station on which the development sits.

The project is also a benchmark for environmental sustainability. The office tower has achieved LEED (CS) Platinum Precertification, and the office tower, along with the retail and hotel components, has been awarded the Singapore BCA Green Mark (Platinum) award. The residential component has also been conferred a BCA Green Mark (Gold Plus).
