The new lighting retail concept will represent young, independent labels from around the world.

Grafunkt has launched Blackhole to bring young and notable lighting brands to the local scene. They include:
Heavy Desk Light by Benjamin Hubert for Decode London
Decode London
Established in 2007, Decode London produces modern British designs in close collaboration with emerging London-based designers such as Benjamin Hubert and Samuel Wilkinson. It seeks to develop products that are individual, that challenge conventions and that are functional. Importantly, Decode London works with and champions local designers, and wherever possible, manufacturers.
Brokis
The company was founded by a group of visionaries who have dedicated their lives to the production of fine lighting fixtures. Supported by designers from around the world, Brokis produces a line of handmade contemporary lamps that exemplify the belief that beautiful design must always be matched by quality.
Minaret Modern Pendant Light from Niche Modern
Niche Modern
Established in 2003 in New York, Niche Modern designs and manufactures luxurious hand blown modern lighting pendants and chandeliers for residential and commercial environments. As original as snowflakes, no two are exactly the same.
NUD collection
NUD
The young label started in 2009 as a branch out of Swedish company Frinab, a specialist in cord making for 25 years. NUD stands for Nordic Ultimate Design, which underscores the simplicity of its designs. The cords of all NUD lights are dressed with colourful textile, and the socket of the original bestseller Classic range is made of porcelain. NUD has just introduced a new Basic range, which now comes with a concrete socket.
Blackhole was launched in a special Pop-up Store on 6 October as part of Saturday in Design Singapore. Catch all the action down the four precincts – River Valley, Bras Basah, Dhoby Ghaut and Tanjong Pagar.
