A sense of modern luxury emanates from Fendi Casa’s new Home collection.
December 17th, 2012
Fashion brand Fendi established its Fendi Casa line in 1989, and since then it has produced furniture and prestigious objects of impeccable workmanship and precious materials. True to the brand, the new collection delivers extraordinary finishes and finely crafted details.
Serengeti table and Blixen chairs
Exhibited recently in Paris at Maison & Objet, the Fendi Casa Home collection includes larger pieces such as sofas and beds, as well as coffee tables, storage consoles, carpets and lighting. A muted colour palette dominates – taupe, beige, quartz grey, ice, warm earth, dark mocha and lava.
Among the pieces are the striking Serengeti table and the sleek Blixen chairs. Serengeti combines a streamlined shape with striking zebrano wood grain patterns. Blixen presents an elegant thin profile of dark grey chromed steel and leather. The single leather chassis is tensioned with buckles on the ergonomic backrest.
Agata table lamp
Giotto pendant
Among the collection’s lighting objects are the Agata table lamp and the Giotto pendant. Both play with rounded forms, but offer different material treatments and lighting effects. Agata’s mesh surface casts delicate criss-cross shadows, while Giotto’s smooth dome offers consistent illumination.
Agadir sofa with Pantheon bookshelves and Columbus coffee tables
The modular Agadir sofa exhibits a monolithic and contemporary shape, with a low backrest that looks like an extension of the seat. The seat is deep, and the thoughtfully crafted corner stitching ensures softness and comfort.
Achille sofa and Dorchester armchairs
The Achille sofa captures attention with its imposing square armrests. Their leather-lined profiles hark back to traditions of leatherwork. Saddle thread runs along the piping, and the soft backrest cushions are quilted.
The Dorchester armchair (also available as a sofa) marries tradition and contemporary style. The tapered, squared profile cuts a unique outline. Dorchester’s feet are not forgotten, being lined with leather.
