The newly launched Italian brand has arrived in Singapore at Dream Interiors. See how it’s taking the idea of customisation to new heights.

In a few short months, Eumenes from Italy has captured the attention – and imagination – of designers and the design-savvy, and here’s why.
Collaborating with Paola Navone and Jean-Marie Massaud, the Eumenes debut collections make bold use of materials, come with green creds, and importantly, can ’transform’ and adapt very easily to different requirements.
Table tops and the shells of seats can be freely combined with the supporting structure, also available in a wide range of colour options, thanks to inventive manufacturing processes and logistics.
Eu/phoria
Eu/phoria by Paola Navone
The concept for this monocoque chair came from the idea of using Woodstock, a material consisting of powdered wood and polypropylene often employed by the automobile industry.
The material comes in extremely hardwearing thermoformable sheets, which can be bonded to several kinds of fabric during the moulding phase to create a wide range of appearances. The chair’s supporting structure is painted steel, and comes in 8 different colour options.
Eu/phoria chairs and Eus table
Eus by Paola Navone
Eus stands out not just for the playfulness of its supporting feet and its bevelled corner detail, but importantly for the material options available for its top: in acid-etched glass that is screen printed with lively geometric patterns; in hardwearing layered Abet Laminati, obtained from processing recycled materials from plastic laminates; and in Ecomat, an innovative material derived from ground olive pits mixed with recycled plastic and scrap material from nappy manufacture.
The painted metal base comes in 4 colours.
Arkys
Arkys by Jean-Marie Massaud
Arkys’ standout feature is its metal mesh shell, enrobed in a plastic covering produced using painstakingly researched spray technology. The result is a design with a soft, organic shape and a unique, uneven texture.
The customisable options are numerous with many different colour options for the painted metal structure, seat and cushion and fabric backrest cover.
Arkys chairs and Aracne table
Aracne by Jean-Marie Massaud
The table’s unique feature is its supporting structure, which recalls the morphology of an arachnid. The structure is made from aluminium (35% recycled) and comes in 5 different colours. Only 4 screws are used to assemble the basic components of the table, while the modular structure allows many different shapes and sizes to be produced.
Aracne’s tabletop also offers up variety: it comes both in painted MDF (5 colours) and in clear glass. And in true Eumenes style, the different tops can be matched with all manner of base colour options.
