Height-adjustable tables in offices are the norm rather than the exception in many developed countries Europe, but it is very much the reverse here in Asia. With the opening of a brand new showroom in Singapore to serve the local and Asian market, Duba-B8 hopes to increase awareness of the advantages of working on height-adjustable tables – from the health benefits to the ways in which it can help boost workers’ productivity.
One of the most unique features of the Duba-B8 height-adjustable table is its patented ‘click’ system, which makes for easy assembly; the system also makes it possible to replace the tabletops easily, where necessary or desired, without having to change the entire table.
The Danish company is a century old and has a rich history of manufacturing ergonomically-designed office furniture. Aside from height-adjustable desks, Duba-B8 offers a range of workplace solutions, from task chairs to storage systems and accessories that make the office environment a more conducive place for work and collaboration.
One of the company’s core strengths is its commitment to sustainable design. “Back in 2011, Duba-B8 was the first and only office solutions provider in Denmark to receive FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certification,” says Duba-B8’s CEO, Christian Flarup.
Elaborating on Duba-B8’s plans here in Asia, Thomas Laursen, Head of Duba-B8 Singapore office says, “ When we first laid out our strategy in Singapore, our simple goal was to serve our clients from Scandinavia. But as we started to learn more about the market and introduce our unique product offering, we noticed that designers, workspace design consultants and business leaders looking to improve employee productivity, were taking notice. And so our vision for Singapore and the whole of Southeast Asia is to help transform the office environment into one that’s teeming with productivity and innovative collaboration.”
Duba-B8 is headquartered in Bjerringbro, Denmark and has offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Odense, Oslo, Bergen and now, Singapore.
