The new furniture label in Singapore offers luxe pieces with quality finishing at affordable prices.
October 4th, 2011
Accentuate Home was launched recently in Singapore by interior designer turned furniture designer Aisha Ashraf.
Formerly with LTW Designworks, the Pakistan-born and Singapore-based Aisha Ashraf first conceived the idea of starting her own collection when she was sourcing for furniture for her own home and started approaching workshops to customise pieces that she had designed.
Her first 100 piece collection features classic contemporary yet eclectic furniture, all with clean lines, sleek silhouettes and unique details. The collection includes coffee and side tables, bar cabinets, storage trunks and accessories. Each item can be individually customised according to colour, upholstery and size to cater to different needs.
Accentuate Home aims to keep prices affordable by keeping overheads low and employing a warehouse approach to display its items at its showroom in Lower Delta Road.
Being Pakistani, Aisha chooses to have her designs manufactured in Pakistan, providing employment and a steady source of income to the people in Karachi.
She also makes a point to donate a portion of her proceeds to the factory to show her support of their craft, dedication and hard work.
