Located in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Peninsula Residence by SJB is a brave architectural reimagining that honours the past and integrity of the original home whilst also bringing it directly into a contemporary design context. Designed with tenacity as the overarching theme, tough materials like cedar, steel, glass, natural stone and concrete are featured in unrestrained sophistication.
Glossy red echoes brazenly from kitchen to powder room and the enclosed internal stairwell which leads to the roof terrace. The large glass pavilion now houses a stunning new master suite featuring a strong tonal scheme of both bright and burnt cirtrus, fresh, vibrant greens and moody blues.
Multiple floor levels respond to the natural fall of the surrounding landscape, and tough materials like cedar, steel, glass, stone and concrete reflect the robust beauty and organic drama of the Mornington Peninsula.
