A spectacular spectacle shop fitout is the work of George Christo Design.
October 27th, 2011
“Our challenge was to display 1200 pairs of sunglasses and spectacle frames – and we got there!” says George Christo of Christo Design about his latest retail project, The Eye Scene.
The colourful and quirky frames in all their colours, softly backlit, are an appealing focal point of the space. The rest of the interior was kept relatively neutral.
“The choice of materials was to be warm and inviting, keeping the palette simple to let the spectacle display do the talking,” says Christo.
“The lush, comfortable ottomans added splashes of colour and comfort seating for clients to be consulted on.
“We wanted the environment to be non-pretentious, comfortable for clients and inviting, like walking into someone’s home.”
Foscarini pendant lights add a decorative sculptural touch, complimenting the scale of the 4500mm high ceilings.
