BURO Architecture + Interiors complete Tasmanian country club bar.
October 31st, 2007
Appointed by the Federal Group, in conjunction with Geoff Chamberlain of Seventh Sense Consulting, BURO Architecture + Interiors has recently completed its latest project: ‘Tonic’, an exclusive bar in Launceston, Tasmania.
Located at Country Club Tasmania, an established social destination near the CBD, Tonic is intended to push design boundaries in what has traditionally been regarded as a tame hospitality scene. It is poised to become the most popular watering hole for the trendy young professionals in the area.
The design brief asked for a venue that would remain sophisticated from day through night. BURO responded with lighting carefully tailored to achieve this effect and cleverly created a series of zones within the bar. They incorporated an outside terrace with sculptural banquettes and an elevated lounge.
