The new Yamaha Showroom in South Melbourne needed surfaces that were more than just good-looking – being a musical space, peak acoustic resonance was also required, which is why STUDIOMINT turned to Screenwood.
Creating a fresh, contemporary space with exceptional acoustic performance was key to the design of the Yamaha Showroom. Opting for Hemlock, a consistently blonde timber species, STUDIOMINT used Screenwood panels to create a warm atmosphere while at the same time provide acoustic comfort.
Acoustically rated ceiling and wall panels are available in a range of PEFC certified timber species to add timeless appeal to any space. With the inclusion of fine-tuned acoustic backings that ‘disappear’ behind the timber slats, the space benefits from maximum sound absorption.
Used frequently in education and hospitality fit-outs, Screenwood is equally suitable to commercial applications and other open-plan areas where echo reduction is critical to the amenity of the space.
Screenwood is delivered to site prefinished, assembled into modules and cut to specified lengths, ready for a swift installation by any qualified builder.
