Consistent through many of the competition entries is the idea of restoration, far beyond the notion of refurbishment. Public parks, open-air amphitheatres and extensive boardwalks are recurring devices that the designers hope will endear these vast schemes to the public and the competition jury, alike. Public voting is now open, online, with fly-through videos, additional images and design statements from the various teams. As it stands, no input from public voting will be taken in to account by the jury.
