Fast S.p.A. demonstrates the unique blend between past and future in design
December 22nd, 2015
More often than not, brands align themselves with a certain approach. Traditional design verses modern practice, authentic craftsmanship verses contemporary advancements. Too often, designers delineate themselves with one or the other that they become irrelevant in a market that is constantly evolving. It is in the reconciliation of the old school with the new that lays the relevance for brands in the post-modern market.
Stefano Levrangi, an expert in non-ferrous metal casting, started his company in the 1960s whose craftsmanship involves high precision material and a thorough knowledge of material and processes. The skill and passion of its founder promptly saw Fast become an industry leader, and by the end of the 1980s the family business became a joint-stock company (S.p.A.). Classic and avant-garde ranges were launched side-by-side and were instantly well received by customers.
Taking a closer look at the latest collections fro Fast, it is clear to see that a company does, in fact, have the capacity to present two distinctive product lines from seemingly opposing practices. Avant-garde technology and design combined with skilled craftsmanship sees the nexus between the traditional, and the modern. It is this defining characteristic of Fast, where traditional elements blend with innovative trends, that sees the company flourishing.
At Fast S.p.A., history and tradition are of equal importance as technology. Every production centre is equipped with advanced technology and equipment, with access to highly skilled craftsmen for refined, handcrafted finishes. Striking a harmonious balance within each product, this process of highly automated production systems is aided by bespoke handcrafted elements. To complement its market presence, the company intends to interact with customers through its new website. Company updates, news of upcoming events, product novelties as well as press releases and advertising campaigns will be easily accessible and communicated to customers, bringing old school values to a new market.
Fast S.p.A. has always been aware that without suitable technological infrastructure, the company would not have been able to keep pace with current trends and developments.
The highly dedicated team at Fast work with the desire to be increasingly available to its clientele. The new Outdoor Range sees Fast expanding on a national and international level. After several years with District Perth, Fast is now also available in the District Melbourne showroom. The company’s trademark industrial experience and know-how sees it becoming a trend-setting brand in the world of indoor and outdoor aluminum furniture.
Fast S.p.A is distributed in Australia through District.
