A comfortable and simply elegant collection of upholstered armchairs.
June 7th, 2016
Patrick Norguet approaches objects from a graphical perspective – the VIC collection of armchairs is no exception. The back lifts up from the seat while remaining tied only at the arm’s ends. The resulting opening provides the armchair with lightness and eases its handling. The legs in solid ash wood are perfectly jointed thanks to a carter under the seat.
The seat and the backrest can be upholstered with leather or fabric even in contrast to offer the greatest customisation. Materials: injected foam seat and backrest with elastic belts in the seat. Solid ash wood legs. The VIC seat and backrest are available upholstered in fabric or leather. Legs are available in ash wood black or grey colour stained.
As a child, Norguet always preferred sketchbooks to textbooks. A stint in industry and design studies mark the unusual profile of this constructive rebel. He joined the clique of creators that matter after his now famous Rainbow Chair caught the eye of Giulio Cappellini in 2000. Norguet sees design as an encounter with a manufacturer whose creative intent is shaped by technical and economic constraints and the expectations of a user it hopes to seduce discreetly, yet lastingly. Always drawing inspiration from his surroundings, Patrick Norguet creates products whose relevance and modernity will withstand the test of time.
VIC is available through Pedrali as part of their collection of contemporary furniture.
