The Mico Design centre is far more than just a showroom
January 30th, 2009
Mico is a state-of-the-art design centre showcasing innovative bathroom and kitchen products from premium Australian and European manufacturers.
Designed by Foster and Associates, the Sydney Mico Design centre was launched in 2007 and has since established itself as a unique destination for interior designers, architects and specifiers.
The showroom space includes: an interactive display area, a kitchen and sink display with operational appliances, an operational shower display, a dedicated basin wall display, sanitaryware and tapware fixtures throughout and a promotional area featuring cutting edge products.
The flexibility of the space ensures that Mico can hold small to large-scale design events. The centre includes high quality audio and visual equipment, a retractable display and a spacious boardroom.
The Mico Design centre has played host to a number of successful events for organisations like the Design Institute of Australia, the Building Designer’s Association and, most notably, Saturday in Design – attracting 1,000 guests. Mico also supports up and coming designers and student events, recently showcasing the works of UWS Industrial Design Graduates.
Mico represents many high-quality brands such as: Blanco, Duravit, Electrolux, Hansgrohe, Kludi, Newform and Omega Smeg. They have also recently expanded to include exclusive European products from Keramag, Sphinx, Globo and Guglielmi.
To showcase their product offering, Mico releases a bi-annual journal featuring lifestyle spreads of available brands and products – ideal for product specification. They will also soon re-launch their website to showcase their extensive range of products, and up-to-date information on news and events.
The centre is a unique location for the design community to assess products first-hand and participate in product demonstrations.
Contact Mico for more info or to get your copy of their next Journal – out in May 09.
