Summer welcomes bright new tableware range
November 21st, 2008
Summer has blossomed and with it a bright, bold range of tableware created by Canberra-based glass designer Jonathan Baskett.
Designed for Mexican glass firm Nouvel studio, Baskett’s new summer range was displayed at the New York International Gift Fair in August this year.
Freelancing for Nouvel, Baskett travels to Mexico and New York to collaborate and oversee production for tableware designs and unique one-off pieces. These are then showcased biyearly at the gift fair.
“It’s a fantastic experience to design and oversee designs which are then marketed worldwide from Europe to Hong Kong,” says Baskett.
His glassware was also part of the travelling expo, Freestyle: New Australian Design For Living exhibition, which exhibited around Australia until October.
